Rev. Clint Collier was born and raised in Neshoba County, Mississippi. He attended Hand Elementary School at Tougaloo College, Alcorn Agricultural High School on Alcorn's campus, and later attended Howard University before studying theology at Emory University. During the 1960s, he was an active participant in Freedom Movement activites in the Meridian-Neshoba County areas and ran for office as an MFDP candidate.
