Another one of our Civil Rights Movement Sisters has passed away. My Heart is so Heavy!
Mrs. Cleophas Orange, My Movement Sister, the Widow of Rev. James Orange, the matriarch of The Orange family and an SCLC veteran of The Civil Rights Movement has tthis morning due to illness.
She is loved by all who knew her and has paid her dues in the Civil Rights Movement and in the community. We started out as young adults working for Civil Rights. She worked under the leadership of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr., Dr. Ralph David Abernathy, and Dr. Joseph E. Lowery. She started out working under the Leadership of Rev. T.Y. Rogers with chapters and affiliates. She worked on the Poor Peoples Campaign, the Mule Train, the War on Poverty and so many other projects.
Please keep the Family lifted up in Prayer. Blessings to All.
