I worked for SNCC in Hattiesburg, Miss., Greenville, Miss., and other parts of the 2nd congressional district (the Delta). Additionally, I worked in Albany, Albany,Georgia, and the Newton, Georgia, of the notorious Baker County.
I fled to Canada in the winter of 1965 as a war resister. The government was using the draft as one means of decimating SNCC. I came with Bob Moses and another, now deceased, brother in struggle. Bob moved on to Africa and is now back in the states with the algebra project. I am the director of a Montreal based organization called the Institute in Management and Communinty Development. It great to find an avenue to reconnect with the old warriors.
