I worked for COFO in Meridian with my husband, Mickey Schwerner from January, 1964. We worked with local people on establishing a community center, which was used as an organizing base. Most of the focus was on issues of voter rights. During summer 1964 and through June 1965 I worked on MFDP challenges, out of D.C. and N.Y. I graduated from law school in 1968. I've lived in Seattle since 1975.
