I worked with SNCC, CORE and COFO in SW Georgia and Sunflower County, Mississippi from 1963 through 1966. Also CNVA, the Comittee for Nonviolent Action in SW Georgia for the last half of '63 and first part of '64.
I'm writing a book called "From Selma to Wounded Knee," kind of a collection of personal stories and recollections (autobio) that includes interviews with fellow activists from the Southern Freedom Movement, Wounded Knee '73, the anti-war movement (all of the wars from Vietnam on), the United Farm Workers (UFW) and the Black Panther Party in Oakland ('66 to '68).
I'm a high school teacher and have been teaching about 'The Movement' for many years. I also speak at colleges and to other groups about the Civil Rights Movement.
