My Movement years were spent mostly in the Boston SNCC office organizing support for local people in the south and for SNCC field workers. I made many trips south delivering supplies and meeting with community and staff people especially in Alabama and Mississippi. The people I worked with north and south, were remarkable for their intelligence, courage and commitment. They have always stayed with me whether I still know them or not. I have been a teacher of young children and of teachers for many years. Teaching the Movement is what I consider my life's work.
