I worked with SCLS's SCOPE project in the summer of 1966. We first gathered in Atlanta but then soon moved to join the Meredith March in Mississippi. After the March, we returned to Atlanta for more training. I was then assigned to Grenada, Mississippi where I worked with Hosea Williams, Leon Hall, "Big Lester" Hankerson and others. I spent the last few weeks of the summer working at the Atlanta office.
