Voter registration, freedom schools in Laurel, summer of 1964. Run out of the state in Sept 1964 for aleged "assault" on judge Pickering's nephew for being beaten to a pulp at a Texaco station with 2 other CR workers on a hot night in August. Front page Laurel paper with police picture so everyone knew who I was. Everyone of you was and still are my heroes.
