While a graduate student at Atlanta University in 1960, I represented the school on The Committee for the Appeal of Human Rights. We organized the Atlanta Student Movement that led to desegregating public facilities in that city. I was arrested for my role in the Movement. In MD, I was arrested in LaPlata MD on 4/21/63 while testing public accommodations under the umbrella of New York CORE.
