I started my activity in the movement while I was a student at Georgia Tech, in Atlanta. I began particpating in demonstrations in Atlanta surrounding the Atlanta Baptist Church and latter at Lebs, a restaurant in the middle of Atlanta. I quickly became very involved and was given a "warning" from the administration of Georgia Tech for participating in a communist activity!
I dropped out of Georgia Tech and later became a full time worker in the Southern Student Human Relaltions Project under the US National Student Association, also in Atlanta. I worked in this organisation, organizing white southern students for 2-3 years. I was one of the founders and early participants in SSOC. (This is just a short account as I have just recently found this site.)
