Summer 1965 Lawyer's Constitutional Defense Committee (LCDC) Mississippi and Tennessee.
Testimony: The time in Mississippi allowed me to come back with a new definition of the law that I've used ever since: "Enforce your own prejudices and decline everything inconsistent on the ground of jurisdiction." Without going into detail I think this says it all from a lawyer's point of view. It includes a short stint acting as a "private" prosecutor because the elected prosecutor wouldn't prosecute the case in Greenwood, Mississippi. We won, but the judge wasn't happy.
